Light wind of 8 knots finally came in around 15:30. After a long wait and great anticipation the young sailors got their chance to start the fight for a place on the podium of the 2018 Optimist World Championship.
Tricky weather with wind shifts created a shuffle in the results of the one and only race of the final series, although Marco Gradoni managed to add his 7th consecutive bullet with another incredible performance.
Day 2 of the final series expecting wind above 16 knots and organizers plan to have a 3 race competition for today.
