First three Qualifying Days for the 2018 Optimist World Championship, in Limassol Cyprus. 264 Sailors spread in four fleets started competing for the most valuable trophy of the biggest sailing class. Three days of medium wind, 9 to 12 knots and just minimum delays on the starting racing schedule, but with all six qualifying races completed.
Marco Gradoni from Italy is defending his title and he seems to lead the way after the final day of the Qualifying Series. Yanne Broers from Nederland seems to lead the way in Girls after the first six qualifying races.
Team Racing will start tomorrow with some Teams taking a rest for couple of days, since they are not participating in Team Racing Competition.
Lots of races are still left, but it seems that there will be a lot of touch match-ups both in Team Racing, but also in fleet competition.
