Ioannideia 2016 International Optimist Regatta Day 1

A much better start this year on the Opening Day of Ioannideia 2016 2nd International Optimist Regatta, compared to our first try in 2015. With 72 Registered Entries and 10 countries, the Regatta started with the first three Races in a light breeze of 10 knots. With minor organizing problems and with a lot of anxiety we got Ioannideia 2016  under way.

Orestis Apostolides in the Open Boys Category, and Anna Neophytou in the Open Girls Category took the early lead overall after the first 3 races.  The lead for the Cadet Category is helf by Emilios Max Boeros and Dhemesh Maayan and in the Novice category by Philippos Poulloupatis and Andrea Papazoglou.
