IOANNIDEIA 2018 - Event Managize

We expect to have 260 – 320 children participating at the Worlds taking under consideration that each country participates with a team of max 5 children. All teams are accompanied by a coach, team leader and a country representative that participates to the Annual Assembly Meeting of the World Federation which will also be hosted by our Club. For the Optimist Worlds, families of the participants also take advantage of the occasion and they combined their vacation with the event. In all, we expect to have more than 2000 visitors during the World in 2018. For the Offshore European, we anticipate more than 70 Teams from around the World with an estimated number of Crews to exceed 700 people. A lot of them make the trip with their families combining as well their summer vacations. Our partnership with Limassol Marina for the Offshore Regatta has duration for ten (10) years providing its facilities free for the participants, for ten (10) days. Besides Limassol Marina and our partnership, Cyprus Tourism Organization (CTO) and Limassol Municipality are the latest key players added to the organization team. RIK is, for a sixth year in a row, the Communication Sponsor of the Event. All Events within “IOANNIDEIA” are listed under the Worldwide calendars of the International Federations (IODA and ORC respectively). IOANNIDEIA has always been under the congregation of the President of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades. All proceeds of the Events go to the Andreas Ioannides Scholarship Foundation for Athletes that are in College with financial needs.
